Shedding Old Skins: A Name and Pronoun Release Ritual

Friday, 18 September 2026 · 18:00 – 20:00 Seagrape Apothecary, Portland, United States

About the event

Are you ready to let go of a name, a pronoun, or an old identity? Whether you've changed your labels recently or long ago, this ritual is designed to welcome you across the threshold. In ritual, honor who you have been, release what you no longer are, and embrace that which is still unfolding.
Eli Lawliet, The Gender Doula, will lead an intimate group through the process of reflecting on all that previous names, pronouns, or identity labels held for them.
Honor these experiences and allow yourself to feel gratitude for all that they held. Make space for the grief of change and the struggle of transformation. In ritual, release these old words and wash them away. Then, call in your dreams, desires, and intentions for the new labels, pronouns, and names. Together, welcome in new selves and experience the joy of becoming.
In preparation for the workshop, please gather the following items:

A pen and paper for note-taking
Snacks and drinks for nourishment
Anything else you need to feel cozy and present
