Great extended weekend, friendly staff, far exceeded expectations

Tea Dance is always a hit. The outdoors added with bay viewing makes it a classic Afternoon. Drink prices vary, but beer is reasonable. Friendly staff.

I understand why Boatslip is a Provincetown institution, and the space has a lot going for it: a huge deck, a pool, multiple bars, and a long history in town. But for me, the experience did not match the cost. It is cash-only, there is a cover, and the drinks are premium-priced. At that price point, there are other places in Provincetown with excellent cocktails, beautiful views, and a more comfortable overall environment than a time-limited open deck. I went for Dog Tag Tea during Pride weekend. The $20 cover included a cute dog tag with the year on it, which was a nice touch, but the event did not really feel themed in practice. Very few people were visibly dressed on theme, and I did not see much incentive or structure to make people feel comfortable participating. For a queer themed event, that felt like a missed opportunity. Even small touches like a theme discount, a more visible activation, or a place to change could have made it feel more playful and less like a general social mixer. The venue has a huge deck and pool, but tea mostly felt like standing outside with expensive drinks. The dance floor existed, but it was small, the energy did not really build until the very end, and the hard cutoff made the whole thing feel more regulated than festive. I respect the history and understand the seasonal business model. It may simply not be my preferred version of tea, but compared with other spots around town, the price felt hard to justify for what was actually offered.

The Boatslip is the perfect place to stay in Provincetown. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of Commercial Street and within walking distance of everything you could possibly want to do in P-Town. Whether you’re heading to dinner, the beach, shopping, or a show, you’re right in the middle of it all. One of the biggest perks is that the Boatslip hosts the legendary Tea Dance, and as a hotel guest, you get complimentary admission and VIP entry. If you’re visiting Provincetown, that’s a huge bonus and makes the experience even more special. The property has been completely remodeled, and the rooms are gorgeous. Everything feels fresh, modern, and brand new while still maintaining the fun, welcoming energy that makes the Boatslip such an iconic Provincetown destination. The service was excellent throughout our stay. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure guests had a great experience. Our room was refreshed every day, and everything was consistently spotless. Between the unbeatable location, beautiful renovations, fantastic service, and access to Tea Dance, the Boatslip is exactly where you want to stay when visiting Provincetown. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back.

I really wanted to like this place because of the location, but my experience was not great. It felt pretty loud and chaotic, which made it hard to actually relax and enjoy the beach vibe. I think it would be fine if you are specifically looking for a party scene, but it just wasn't the kind of stay I was hoping for.

I was here in late September for Tea Dance. When the event was over, I was not allowed to bring my drink I had bought at one bar in Boatslip to another bar at Boatslip. Yet my friends were staying at the hotel and they were allowed. So I was forced to chug my drink and they were not. Made no sense to me. Perhaps management can explain.

It’s always been a very clean hotel, but it’s much nicer since the interior renovations. Very clean and comfortable room. Very kind staff - absolutely love Maria the bartender! All the staff are nice as well. Perfect location. Wil come again.

stopped for drinks before dinner after someone on the street recommended it. so good we went back after dinner, too! seating inside and out for great people watching and petting all the pups that walk by.
