Didn’t make it through the door. The bouncer was extremely rude and aggressive for no reason. Decided to immediately walk out.

I absolutely love visiting Godfreys! The food and drinks were excellent and the entertainment was awesome! Parking on the street in downtown Richmond still requires payment on a Saturday-be mindful, I was not!

Love this place. Great safe place for LGBT + always enjoy my time. Love the music

I am beyond disappointed to be writing this. My friend and I have been regulars at Godfrey’s for a long time, but after the way we were treated tonight, I will never ever be going back. We were kicked out based on a completely fabricated lie. A random person claimed my friend "trapped" her in the bathroom. This is physically impossible and factually incorrect. I was standing right there in the bathroom line with a well-known, prevalent figure in the community; we were both waiting and looking at the door the entire time. The entire interaction took less than 2 minutes—nothing happened, yet management chose to believe a total stranger over loyal patrons who support this establishment. To make matters worse: • Blind Accusations: They threw us out based on "he said, she said" without any proof. I explicitly told the staff that ejecting someone under these circumstances is a serious matter and carries legal consequences. • Admitted Error: The prevalent figure I was with came to me later and confirmed that the "bar manager" admitted it was all a "misunderstanding" after the fact. A "misunderstanding" doesn't cut it when you’ve already insulted and removed your regulars. Because of this negligence and the defamatory nature of the accusation, we are currently seeking legal counsel.
