About this place The Saint Paul Hotel

The Saint Paul Hotel opened in 1910 at 350 Market St, facing Rice Park, and is the city's grand old downtown hotel: 255 rooms including 30 suites, linked to the skyway. It closed in 1979 and reopened in 1982. A local group led by Minnesota Wild owner Craig Leipold has bought it and announced a full renovation of the rooms and lobby, so ask about building work when you book. The Ordway and the Landmark Center are on the same park. It's a mainstream hotel, not a gay venue. St Paul's one dedicated queer bar, the Black Hart, is on University Ave in the Midway, about 15 minutes west on the Green Line.
