Celeste of St. Paul Hotel + Bar

Celeste of St. Paul is a 71-room boutique hotel in the former St. Agatha's Conservatory of Music and Art, a 1909-10 Beaux-Arts building at 26 E Exchange St that was also a convent of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. It opened as a hotel in November 2019, with a bar downstairs. It sits on the north edge of downtown, a few doors from the Fitzgerald Theater and within walking distance of the State Capitol. It's a mainstream hotel, not a gay venue. St Paul's one dedicated queer bar, the Black Hart, is on University Ave in the Midway, about 15 minutes west on the Green Line.
