I can't reccomend Number One enough!! Tuesdays for Tiger's Pictionary and Karaoke with Dani and Bobby are a blast, bring your A game bc the gays are not playing around! Always a supportive and friendly atmosphere. Anytime I'm showing friends around Hillcrest I bring them here. A solid go to.

Came here twice during our trip to San Diego. Thursday night was pretty relaxed and chill, and the patio was not open at the time. When we went back Saturday, it was much busier and the patio space really made a difference. It added a great open vibe and more room to move around. There is also an upstairs outdoor patio, but it was being guarded by a bouncer and was not open to guests. That would have been a nice space to use. Music was upbeat and fun, but very loud, so it was hard to have conversations. Overall a fun spot, especially on a busy night.

Very uncomfortable seeing "LGBTQ+" friendly listed on this place after my experience as a trans woman. I was with a group of friends and stepped out to make a call. The bouncer would not let me back in claiming the other security had warned him about me. I had two drinks at this point and was feeling normal. All of my friends agreed that I wasn't acting weird or drunk. Multiple verrrry inebriated men were stumbling and slurring words while they talked to me while I was here, so not sure why these people weren't escorted out? I did get on stage when the drag host asked for volunteers, so maybe my 15 second dance offended security's taste? The bouncer came off very smug and seemed to enjoy kicking me out. Also, Wouldn't let me let my friends inside know I was kicked out either, so put me in a dangerous situation isolated in a new city. Just wanna give other folks a heads up. I met some great people here and the drag performers were soooo fun and lovely. I'm so sad to have the night spoiled by being singled out like this.
