About this place Seattle Frontrunners

Seattle Frontrunners is a running and walking club that's been part of Seattle's LGBTQ+ community since 1983. It started after the first yearly Run With Pride, an event backed by the Lesbian Resource Center. Today, the group has more than 300 gay and lesbian members and their friends, all there for the running, walking, and company. What's good about this club is how genuinely open it is. Fast runner, slow jogger, or just out for a walk? You'll fit in. The club doesn't care about your age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, or how athletic you are. If you're in Seattle and want to meet local LGBTQ+ people, get some exercise, and see the city on foot, this is a solid choice. You can find meeting times, routes, and how to join on their website. It's all run by volunteers, so the mood is usually friendly and relaxed. Visitors are welcome, whether you're serious about your pace or just looking for a fun way to move and meet people.

West Seattle Runner is the only place I’ll buy my running gear. It’s more than a store—it’s a community hub. From weekly group runs and events to knowledgeable staff and thoughtfully curated gear, they’ve created something special. Whether you’re training for your first 5K or your tenth marathon, you’ll find support, encouragement, and a welcoming community. West Seattle is lucky to have them. 10 stars out of 10!

I am thoroughly satisfied with the service I received at West Seattle Runner. The associate was knowledgeable, patient, and took the time to analyze my gait, stance, arch, etc. She even laced up all of the shoes for me and tied them on. I live in Bellevue and could be going to a chain running store on Northup Way, but I'd rather give my business to expert service that isn't rushed to make a sale. It's also women and veteran owned. Check them out! You won't be disappointed.

Had a great experience, Dirk was super helpful in explaining the nature of shoe and which one to choose depending on the feet shape and arch. Their scanning machine is amazing and you get a holistic idea of what sort of shoe would be best!

West Seattle Runner has a solid selection of running shoes and gear, and the staff were friendly and helpful during the fitting process. Easy spot to browse whether you’re a regular runner or just looking for comfortable everyday shoes.
