via Stay22About this place Volunteer Park
Volunteer Park is the green heart of Capitol Hill and, for well over a century, one of Seattle's most storied gay cruising spots. The wooded paths, the reservoir, and the area around the historic water tower and conservatory have long drawn men looking to meet, especially on warm evenings.
By day it is simply a gorgeous Olmsted-designed park with skyline views, the Asian Art Museum, and one of the best free lookouts in the city from the top of the water tower. By night, discretion still matters. It sits in the safest, most openly queer neighborhood in Seattle, but it is a public park with normal park hours, so use common sense and respect other visitors.
