About this place Cecil Bacon Manor

Cecil Bacon Manor (formerly the Bacon Mansion) is a gay-owned bed-and-breakfast in a grand 1909 Edwardian-Tudor house on Broadway East, right in the middle of Capitol Hill. It has been a fixture of gay Seattle hospitality for years, putting you within an easy walk of the neighborhood's bars, cafes, and Volunteer Park.

Rooms mix antique character with modern comforts, and there is a pretty garden courtyard and a carriage house out back. It is the natural choice if you want to stay in the heart of the gayborhood with hosts who know the scene.

Excellent stay at Cecil Bacon Manor Bed and Breakfast! A real gem in Seattle. The house is magnificent, full of charm and character, with warm decor and plenty of character. It's a far cry from the impersonal atmosphere of a typical hotel: here, you truly feel welcomed into a beautiful family home. The rooms are comfortable, the common areas very pleasant, and the Capitol Hill neighborhood is quiet yet close to restaurants, cafes, and shops. The garden is also lovely for enjoying a moment of peace and quiet. Special mention goes to the warm welcome and kindness of the owners, which greatly contribute to the charm of the place. Breakfast is also a truly convivial experience, often cited as one of the highlights of the establishment. You feel right at home from the moment you arrive. One of our favorite places to stay during our trip to the United States, and certainly a place we would gladly return to on our next visit to Seattle. We recommend the Cecil Bacon Manor without any hesitation!

Fantastic B&B in Seattle, convenient for walking to downtown. The decor of the rooms and halls is very refined and unique, very beautiful. The breakfast, freshly prepared by David, is fantastic. David was very kind and hospitable to us. Thank you Marco

Excellent place to stay in a great location in Seattle. Walkable to many great destinations while maintaining an air of coziness and tranquility. The host was a wonderful person and the breakfasts were something we looked forward to every morning. The on site parking was nice to avoid the stress of finding street parking as we were getting our bearings on the narrow windy roads.

My family and I stayed here July 27-28. When we arrived we were met by the sweetest pup and then Ann let us in and showed us our room. So our accommodations were down in the basement. I have to admit I was super disappointed I didn't want to be in the basement but that was my fault for not booking directly on the website. I did get a tour of the other rooms and would have definitely booked the Capital suite. The room we were in was the garden suite it was dark but it did stay cool down there which you would imagine being a basement. I would definitely come back again and just book a different room. The breakfast was fine as my daughter and I had dietary restrictions she is gluten free and doesn't eat eggs or cheese and I am vegetarian. They did their best to accommodate us and I thought that was very nice! There is a large dining room table for a community dining. I am not very social in the morning so we decided to sit at the small four top table they have adjacent to the dining room. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood and close to a park with a water tower. I think the only thing they could do better would be to have a few more breakfast items maybe things like scrambled eggs, hash browns, breakfast meats and maybe oatmeal or grits. The owners were extremely nice and I hope they're able to get down to Florida for a visit especially to the beautiful Florida keys.

It’s a lovely manor that has very cozy vibes and wonderful host. It feels great staying here. On the downsides - the bed was a bit creaky.
