Great idea, but very sketchy. They receive several grants but yet have no money? Apart from trying to advocate several times for different clients, they wouldn’t budge for anyone or anything and in turn I was bullied out for speaking up on issues and trying to help clients not be taken out of their housing due to their undue diligence and negligence to their own agendas. The gossip among this place is ridiculous and the toxicity from management is what this place thrives on. Nothing is kept confidential. Again, nothing here is kept confidential. Between staff nor about clients. All the staff dislikes the same people and it gets exhausting keeping up with it and the fakeness of everyone. Including the executive director, who just likes to be the face of things but doesn’t truly care about the people it’s serving since it doesn’t truly affect him. He can walk and talk like he does but when the door is closed, the act comes off. And the people who work here who don’t do their due diligence are the ones not being pushed out. There are good people here, but the bad apples are far more potent than the good. Just beware. Even if you get security in housing, if it comes down to it, they will choose themselves over you. Run the other way. Find other community resources to help you. Don’t be manipulated by the warmness they will lead you on. It’s Latino, it’s supposed to be empowering and supportive. But to their own, so called “family”, they will push you out as if you’re the issue when advocating for what’s right. Even after being told you’d have a target on your back, and then acting like that’s not what was said to save themself. The truth will always come out.

Excellent service

Matthew is really nice and pleasant to talk with. He spoke with me for a whole hour once. They seem very nice here but the downside is getting any responses. Valentina is REALLY difficult to get a hold of and half the time I don't hear back from her. I emailed Matthew an email awhile back....never heard back, which was disappointing considering he was so engaging before. I am reaching out to another LGBTQ organization and hope the communication is much better there. I am giving 2 stars for friendliness.
