New York Exchange in Cap Hill is AMAZING. I’m going to a concert tonight that happens to be the first concert I ever went to…so I was on a mission to find something to match this black and pink shirt. I had been looking everywhere with no luck, and then while walking through Cap Hill I spotted the PERFECT pair of black and pink TrippNYC cargo pants in the window. I went inside and asked two lovely associates Tiara and Maria about them, and even though the store was out of stock, they did not give up on me. These two literally pulled a full mannequin out of the window display, moved all the merch around it, pulled the pants off and practically undressed the poor guy, just so I could try them on. I’m not kidding. That is NEXT LEVEL customer service. The mannequin was wearing a medium and I usually wear a large, so I thought it was over. But since they’re super baggy cargos, we decided to try it anyway… PERFECT. FIT. Not only did they fit, but they matched perfectly. I walked out with exactly what I was hoping for, and honestly it made my whole day. Huge shoutout to Tiara and Maria for being so kind, helpful, and willing to go way above and beyond. That kind of service is rare, and it’s what makes places like this stand out. If you’re in Cap Hill and like clothes with personality, go here. You might just find exactly what you didn’t even know you needed! 5 STARS

Would give this place a 5 star if there were more plus sized options and just larger sizes in general. Last 2 times I’ve come It was really difficult to find anything XL or larger and I’ve left disappointed. I would spend so much more money if you guys just carried more sizes. Update- just came in again recently and i was able to find alot of things in my size finally. Thank you for having larger sizes in stock now!

Good place to take a friend ready to upgrade their style. The variety of clothing is basically street but in the realm of goth, emo, rave, dark and sexy, and punk, to name a few. I enjoy the offerings and being able to go there and create a fit, or an entire look. Me and my friend went to town shopping and finding things that helped you express her inner youthful spirit that had been dying to be seen. Thank you to the amazing and patient staff and the many patrons who in to help and encourage. Y'all did great 🙏🏾🪷🔥 The clothes are reasonably priced for not being online and for the convenience of having people to help you navigate or even make suggestions. I feel the belts are expensive, but their really nice belts.

I want to like this place but sadly I feel their business operation is predatory. I came in with a return a day later and was told they only accept exchanges - even though the garment was never worn and tags were attached and I had only bought it the day before. Also, I would have had to browse the store and exchange it for new items then and there. These are expensive items so only purchase if you are 100% sure you want to keep it. No refunds at all under any circumstance, and the only way to know is AFTER the transaction.

They have a good selection especially for Halloween, but they were blatantly racist. There was a lot of people in the store and we noticed someone following us (we’re Hispanic) and at first I didn’t notice but he kept looking to see if we were stealing. Following us around the entire time was unnecessarily offensive. No one else (white) was followed.
