The attic use to be one of my favorite spots to go to. Literally been going there since 2012 but as of late I’m going to be second guessing my decision on whether or not to frequent there anymore. Was there last weekend, same night as the horrid events of the OWE Fest. Myself and a few friends went there to regroup after everything and was met with literally the most unpleasant experience I’ve ever had at a bar. The miserable bald bartender that works there was the most passive aggressive, rude and just flat out mean staff member ive literally ever met anywhere I’ve ever been. I ordered ONLY ONE drink while there and the entire time he was making it, he continuously kept scoffing at me, quite literally slamming things and then when I went to go talk to him about ordering another drink, he literally shut me up and said “just stop talking. I’m only going to make one drink at a time” and then after that, again, slammed my drink down in front of me and scoffed again. Like bro, I get it, it might have been not a great day for you either..but based on other reviews, this seems to be a trend with you. Given everyone’s knowledge of what happened earlier that day, you should have known to read the room dude. The vibes were already heavy..the BEYOND aggressive attitude was absolutely NOT needed. So; to the attic…genuinely your community loves you and wants a continuous safe space..but it seems you have a historically bad apple among the rest of your kind, warm and inviting staff.

I love the vibes and atmosphere that the attic has. Good food and good drinks. The only thing that put a bad taste in my mouth was one of the female bartenders counting my money and then looking at me and saying “none for me”. I was planning on leaving a tip separately and gave her the $4 for my beer and give her the tip separate. But the way she acted snotty and privileged to get a tip from me just really brought the vibes down. I obviously still tipped her like I was initially going to but that attitude I received really is making me reconsider returning.
