Not with the price. Standard rooms pushy help staff and staff can with a do not disturb light in the staff will still walk in. They did it while my wife was in the shower after she told them we had late checkout. At that point she felt very uncomfortable because I was still at work and we had late checkout for that reason. She double locked the doors and waited for me. Even when I was back we had two more attempts to enter the room with the do not disturb light on. We notified management and we got the we will get back to you. Then 5 minutes later another knock. But at least she was walking away apologizing because hopefully someone finally got e message we had late checkout. Never again. The water pressure was not even what we remembered and that was the reason we liked this hotel. It’s the simple stuff.

Our overall experience was good. The hotel 's legacy is part of the allure, and it would be nice if the hotel leaned into it a little more. Here a few things: There was no gift shop or store that we were aware of to get some common items or even some souvenirs. The service in Kingbirds was excellent for all meals, but menu items were very pricy, specifically beverages. The rooms, bathrooms were nicely appointed, but the carpet in room was old, stained, and frayed. The style, architecture and staff service was excellent. We would consider staying here again and would recommend to other with the caveat that it is expensive.
