via Stay22About this place Science Club
Science Club is a longstanding gay bar in Washington, DC's Capitol Hill, a fixture of the neighborhood for decades.
It first opened in 1966 as the 601 Club. Today, it’s a warm pub with wood paneling and a worn-in feel that suggests a lot of regulars.
You’ll find Science Club on Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast, a location that puts it within easy walking distance of other bars and sights in Capitol Hill. People come here for a casual drink and conversation, a low-key alternative to the city’s flashier spots.
It’s an authentic neighborhood gay bar, the kind of place where locals and visitors mix throughout the week. Its long run in the community is proof of its enduring appeal as a gathering space.

Good place for getting info about industry
Life Science Washington has done wonders for my business. We've been a part of the association for almost 10 years now and it continues to be a great resource as well as networking machine. It also serves as a great advocacy tool for the life science industry--building awareness in the community, industry and with community leaders. The organization is rock solid with incredible leadership and staff. They are always willing to roll up their sleeves and help. Totally worth the membership!
