What reviewers say

Visitors frequently praise the hotel's excellent downtown location, friendly and helpful staff, and clean, modern rooms. A common point of contention is the mandatory fee for parking, whether valet or self-park.

We stayed 3 days in the tower suite room 318. The room was nice and clean but we had a few issues that made our stay not the best. Starting with the good, since it was our wedding we were staying for, the staff were very kind and helpful and we were greeted with a bottle of champagne in the room which was very nice. The rooms were all clean and we loved the location of the hotel as it was close to our venue. The tower suite was spacious and when inviting our bridal party and family over, there was room to spread out. The not so good, to get to the room, you have to go up several flights of stairs. There is an elevator, but it’s only one and it’s on the other side of the building so it’s a bit of a walk, and even if you use the elevator, you still have to go up a flight of stairs to get to the room. It was a bit confusing to get up to the room, because the signage for the tower is not well marked. There’s one sign near the elevator pointing you to the room and then when you get to the end of the hallway, there’s no more signs. You have to walk through a fire door and then up a flight of stairs to find the room. It was confusing but we eventually managed to figure it out. The hallway lights in the tower do not go off, and the doors to the rooms are sliding doors, so a lot of light came through and made it hard to sleep. The rooms and closets were pretty small, so we did just have to have our luggage out in the hallway instead of in the room with us. The tower suite is 4 floors and each floor has its own ac. The first night we were there the AC in the room we were in did not work and the bathroom in particular was very hot. The next day we asked if they could fix the ac and they said they would send someone out, when we returned the AC still did not work. Since it was late, and the day before our wedding, we moved to the other room where the ac still worked and slept there ( the bathroom in this room was also hot, but we assumed it’s because the door was closed). The next day we woke up and the hot water was completely off. We called and this was fixed within the hour. After we returned from our wedding, the ac at the bottom floor was not working. Both the ac on the first floor and the ac on the second floor showed 80 degrees. I called the front desk and was told the maintenance had came out to fix the first ac the day before, but got busy and wasn’t able to finish the job. I asked if they had emergency maintenance since two ac’s were now out and I had guest over but was told that was not possible. Instead I was offered 2 rooms to move into for compensation, but it was late and I didn’t want to move my belongings after a long day at the wedding. In the morning, it took a long time for the hot water to start heating up, but it eventually starting working. Maintenance came out to look at the ac’s at around 10 am and apologized that the ac’s weren’t fixed. At this point we were packing to check out and nothing could be done. At the checkout I was told the maintenance man had come when I originally requested it a few days ago but did not fix the correct thing. I did ask if we were able to maybe get a discount or anything for the inconvenience and was told the offer of the comp rooms, was the only compensation they would offer. Since I never moved rooms I didn’t feel this was fair compensation. In the end, I don’t think I would recommend staying at this hotel if you are considering the tower suites.

I've been up all night due to the street sweepers and fire alarm. I called downstairs to check about another room and they tell me sorry I have to deal with it because all rooms are on this side. I asked for something higher and I was told no. Without being able to sleep this evening, and the poor response from customer service, my weekly stays will be somewhere else.
