Island City Stage

From my perspective, attending a live performance should be memorable. Albeit a musical that tells its story through song, dance, and story line, a concert where audiences connect with an artist through their music, an aerial act in Cirque that mystifies, a musical revue that engages and provides an escape and enjoyment, or a stage play intended to make us STOP (Stop. Think. Organize. Proceed.) To “stop” and reflect, rethink, and grow. After experiencing the show, Everything Beautiful Happens At Night, I understand why Artistic Director Andy Rogow lobbied so hard with the writer to allow ICS the opportunity to present this show. - The set was terrific. Beautiful and impeccable attention to detail. - The directing was spot on. - The message was powerful. So incredibly powerful on and in so many ways that spoke to me and literally everyone in the audience. I listened. I watched. I heard. I witnessed. In summary, if ever there was/is a show that delivers one (of many) lasting things to remember: Love Is Love regardless of whom the love is shared between. Thank you for an evening which was, in fact, most memorable and one I will never forget.

The shows at this theater are fabulous! They have an eclectic group of both shows they show each year and new shows in the mix. Several of their shows directed by Ronnie Larson have one Awards and have gone on to be performed in both off Broadway new York and in London too! Ronnie Larson who directs produces and even acts in several of the shows will go down in history with the likes of Oscar Wilde, Tennessee Williams Truman Capote and other icons as well!

Wonderful small, intimate theater. Comfortable chairs. Remarkable sets and acting.

The production I saw was fantastic! Small theater so every seat is perfect. Reasonable price for theater!!

A charming little black box theatre. Their current production of RUTHLESS! is silly fun with great performers and a lovely twisted macabre campy vibe to the whole thing. The staff are lovely and the concession stand is a steal of a deal for drinks & snacks. The one caveat: parking is a Nightmare.

We just saw Ruthless...and thought it was one of the BEST performances done by Island City Stage! The actors were all perfectly cast...and they could all sing! Just a wonderfully positive theater experience.

Such a wonderful theater! Not a bad seat in the house! I highly recommend catching any show you can!
