Forbidden! This is incredible! We have acquired the rights to the first openly gay play ever written, Forbidden! by Jo M Van Ijssel de Schepper-Becker was performed in Germany in 1922 then pulled for being too progressive. We’re presenting the American Premiere of the first play to ever tell the story of a son coming to grips with his homosexuality and coming out to his family. In 1922!
