Given the reviews and Google profile, I expected more from this place. There was an endless wait for pasta, people at the table next to us arrived after they'd eaten first, and mostly the same dishes that took forever to arrive for us. Penne became tagliatelle, which then became spaghetti, after more than a half-hour wait, without being asked if it was okay, while everyone else in the restaurant was already eating their pasta. Honestly, I was feeling hungry. The food is really good, but many things need work, from the guy at the cash register who's a bit too hasty, taking on a confidence no one has ever given him, to the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining room. Old, faded and wrinkled T-shirts/uniforms, waiters dressed like warehouse workers with filthy shoes. I completely understand that a busy place has to manage a busy schedule and a constant turnover of customers, but I think they can work quickly without sacrificing care and attention. The floor of the restaurant is badly damaged and has holes in it. The tables and furnishings are dirty (the table legs actually had nivurume). Outside, walking through the kitchen, it wasn't a pretty sight either. The food was truly excellent, a shame about everything else. I'm writing this in a constructive spirit, because the quality of the cuisine is there and it shows. Precisely for this reason, it would be nice to see the same attention paid to service, cleanliness, and the ambiance.
