Boutique Hotel Praia Maria

I spent a week at this guesthouse, which offered excellent value for money and was well-located on the central plateau of the city. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had air conditioning; the only drawback was the lack of a TV. The breakfast was good and served at the restaurant across the street, Kasa Katshupa, with friendly staff. I recommend it.

A charmingly old-fashioned hotel, but extremely noisy, as are the furnishings and the staff in the early morning when you have a room on the first floor...you can't get any rest. What a shame...

Outrage! This hotel deliberately misleads tourists by showing only the photo of the one nice room with a window facing the outside. All other rooms only have windows overlooking the lobby corridor. No light, no ventilation. Terrible furnishings, not even hooks for towels. The staff is extremely unfriendly, unwilling, incompetent, and dishonest. Breakfast is very meager; there isn't even coffee without paying extra. The rooms and furnishings are dilapidated. Never again!!!

The breakfast served in front of Casa Katchupa was good. The location was also great.

Small, very central hotel in an old building on a pedestrian street. Rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors, no elevator, with windows to the interior, riad style. Very clean, friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent accommodation with very comfortable rooms, and breakfast served in a bar across the street featuring good local products.

The room was simple but adequate. Our upstairs room could have used a small fan and a less creaky bed. But oh well. The price is reasonable for such a good location. Nice decor with Nelson Lobo prints and other items.

The hotel is very well located in the center of Praia, and the cleanliness is top-notch. The staff are friendly and attentive. Thank you...😉

This is by far the worst hotel I've stayed in in a long time. Loud, dirty, and the service is completely uninterested. The Wi-Fi doesn't work, and if you go to reception about it, they treat you like an idiot. Breakfast is across the hall; there's a menu, but it's useless because they don't offer everything anyway. The room only has a window facing a kind of atrium, which is incredibly noisy and can't be darkened. The bathroom (also without a window) reeks of dirty drains. The only (!) toothbrush mug (glasses are only provided upon request) still had the previous guest's spit in it. The beds are completely worn out. They hang modern art in the lobby and put out a few antiques, and suddenly it's chic? Far from it! An absolute vacation killer! Unfortunately, I have to spend another night in this unbearable dump.

A small oasis in the middle of a pedestrian street, very well located. A beautifully decorated guesthouse since 1952. The furniture is incredibly impeccable, and the service from reception to the cleaning staff is simply fantastic. I also think there should be ventilation in the bathroom. Otherwise, superb, and with an amazing breakfast. Thank you.

Excellent location for a stopover in Praia. Spotless rooms. A little noisy in the evening being right near restaurants music. Breakfast across the way was a little limited and slow.
