Hotel Zaitoune, Marrakesh

I recommend the Zitoune hotel for its good location, and I particularly thank Tayeb for his help and kindness.

The hotel is only a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport. A real insider tip among Germans. Receptionist Abdul was incredibly quick, running from the parking lot through the narrow streets of the medina – he's a true professional. Keeping up with him and his bag amidst the vendors, mopeds, and beggars is quite a feat. The bed linens are pure white, and the entire building is beautifully constructed in a traditional style. An idyllic rooftop terrace, a sink in the room, a shared refrigerator, working CCTV in the reception area, and artistic windows perfectly complement the wonderful Moroccan style. The only drawback is the single electrical outlet in the room, but that's understandable in such an old building. I always return to the Zaitoune in Marrakech. It's an authentic hotel with a great reception and service in a prime location.

I booked this hotel through an app. Upon arrival, I was informed that the hotel was full, and I was eventually transferred to another hotel. This situation was disappointing and poorly organized.

Terribly cramped, it's hard to turn around on the stairs. The rooms are tiny, but manageable. Helpful staff, in the heart of the medina, close to the main square. The location is great.

A very disappointing hotel, despite its good location. The sheets were dirty and stained. Clearly, they hadn't been changed since the last guests left their hair and other questionable bits of fur behind!

Worst experiences in this hotel. Unclean, unhygienic and rude staff. I had to checkout a day advance though paid for full stay.
