This place absolutely sucks! The rooms are crappy and the manager Lyra is a terrible communicator and has no sense of hospitality. It’s a total ripoff. DO NOT STAY HERE! (And honestly, don’t bother with Seychelles. WAY over-hyped. So many prettier places that are a lot more affordable. And the people aren’t very friendly.)
We spent one night at the guesthouse, arriving late and departing early for our flight. The service mindedness and kindness of the staff of Le Manglier is fantastic. You can literally feel the warmth radiating of Madame Lyra, the owner, and her staff 🌸. The rooms are simple but clean and proper, and there’s coffee making facilities, breakfast is provided, even when departing at the crack of dawn. We will without a doubt be back, and have the guesthouse serve as our base for discovering the main island. Ps. If looking to book Le Manglier, why not do so directly on their website. For small, family-run places like this, the fees levied by booking sites can be quite taxing. I did my booking directly on the guesthouse site, and Madame Lyra expressed her gratitude. A simple gesture that can go a long way 🌸
Absolutely awful!! I had to spend a night there as a last resort because my flight was delayed due to the Middle East conflict. The accommodation is close to the airport, but that's where the positives end. The rooms are very old and disgusting. The kitchen is unusable. The "staff" were extremely incompetent. For the price they charge, it's a real rip-off. Next time, I'd rather take a longer taxi ride to the airport.
We were very tired and rented an apartment near the airport because we wanted to rest and sleep before our flight. The service and attitude were excellent. However, the rooms were very cramped and a bit dirty; they need more cleaning. 🥹 Keep in mind that the guesthouse is located near the airport—you can hear planes taking off and landing very loudly. Also, apparently, they rent rooms by the hour: it was unpleasant to hear someone loudly partying and playing music next door. It's brutal. 😭🫣
We stayed in the guest house for one night only, but guys who work there are absolutely amazing! Thay went above and beyond to make our stay more comfortable! We have small child and arrived in accommodation pretty late in the evening but they made sure that we get hot dinner ready and offered with ice cream and drinks after. Guys helped us a lot with luggage and everything we needed! Honestly, it was much better hospitality than in some high rated hotels. Good job!
Amazing , affordable ,like home , excellent Service and very accommodating
We booked the whole Apartment on the Ground Floor in advance and everything about the owner lady was so sketchy. First she said she forgot about my reservation and sold it to other guests, so when we got there she said that she had another room available. It was almost 3 am and we were so tired so we decided to just sleep and not a make a big deal out of it even though we ended up getting a much smaller room. She apologized and said since we checked in very late and we were checking out the next day, she said we could have a late checkout of an extra hour. We woke up and had breakfast which was very basic. Then since we knew we had late checkout, we took our time since there was no rush as we were going to check in to our resort. This was just a convenient place for the night because our flight arrived so late. (the motel is literally 8 minutes from the airport-though it's not walkable as there isn't a footpath ) As we sat outside just sunbathing and enjoying the good weather, I was summoned to her office where she was so nasty and demanded that we pay a late check out fee. When I asked how about we not getting the room I had reserved which was way more expensive and reminded her that the only reason we extended our stay was because she was the one who suggested because she "messed up" which now knowing the kind of person she is, was obviously a lie. She tried to make me pay more because I booked via booking.com, saying that I should've booked directly with her as she needed to pay them a fee which was none of my business. All in all, she gave us a terrible welcome to Seychelles and we couldn't wait to leave. 100% would not recommend unless of course you don't mind bare minimum and horrible treatment.
