Gorgeous George Hotel

We recently stayed at the Gorgeous George for 4 nights at the end of our stay and loved it! We were in a 1 bedroom apartment which had plenty of room, the bed was big and comfortable (we have found that some SA speaking beds were short- this was not the case here), the bathroom was oversized and finally a hotel with black out curtains!!! I slept so well! ✅ Amazing staff ✅ Restaurant vibes and food were great, best breakfast we had during our trip. ✅ staff were amazing, helpful and friendly. 24/7 door staff and receptionist ✅ hotel felt safe and welcoming ✅ location is fab, right next to markets and on a pedestrian street. Easy to walk to bo Kap etc and about R500 to get to the V&A via uber I would highly recommend booking in to Gorgeous George while you are in Cape Town

My husband and I recently visited Cape Town for the first time and after many researches I decided for a three day stay at this jewel. From the first moment to the last goodbye the experience was gorgeous. Big smiles, helpful hands, efficient service, big and cozy room( we were traveling with 2 big golf travel bags) comfortable bed, good bath amenities, wonderful breakfast ( those warm scones ) , great dinner with life music and wallet parking . This hotel ticks them all! Disadvantage: ask ahead how you should drive as the hotel is located in a pedestrian area with daily market, Portions are far too big for Europeans so we ordered portions to share. You immediately feel at home here and don’t want to leave.

Just wanted it's a beautiful place with amazing staff from the reception to the waiters, big shout-out to Lerato, Dan and bubbles they gave legendary service

I’m so tickled and also vindicated by all the reviews that mention the rampant THEFT that goes on here. I stayed here in 2022 and someone stole some cash I left in the safe. They tried to a) make it seem like it was somehow my fault “ was the safe closed properly?” then b) try to trick into believing maybe I never even had that sum of money in the first place. Knock it off!

The service from the team leader Mercy your selling skills, service and sense of humour was really amazing we will not forget the Restroom part you really pulled a big smile out of us especially after a long day we had. We were a very big group with a bit of people adding up but the team Mercy and bongelwa handled the pressure we were worried that the food was going to take time but we got the shock of our time thanks to manager Babo and chef Marvin and team Above all Mercy and your team members and Bessy the guy behind the bar the Mother was a top notch to my taste buds Bongelwa thank you gorgeous for the service

Rooftop bar is very nice!

An exceptional property with outstanding hospitality and beautiful rooms! My room was so spacious and well thought out and the staff were so kind and went above and beyond. I especially enjoyed the breakfast at Gigi Rooftop. Highly recommend!

We had dinner at Gigi's Rooftop restaurant. The setting is stunning. Vibe super but the service was super slow. Just be aware. Still worth the experience.
