What made our stay truly special was the amazing staff and the outstanding food. Staff: A special thanks to Calvin, who was always there for us and happy to help. The whole team is incredibly friendly, professional, and goes above and beyond for their guests. They know the area very well and are always ready to share useful information and recommendations. Food: The food was absolutely delicious. The multi-course dinner was a real experience, with every dish beautifully presented and prepared with great attention to detail. If you enjoy good food, this place is definitely worth visiting. Rooms: The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, with a fireplace, a large bath, and a spacious shower. Area: The surrounding area is beautiful and full of wildlife. Thanks to the staff’s guidance, we were lucky to see hippos, zebras, antelopes, and other animals. If you visit, don’t hesitate to ask the staff where and when to look for wildlife — they know the best locations and times for animal sightings and are always happy to help. There are also lovely nature spots nearby, including a small waterfall. This is a perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, and experience excellent hospitality. We had a wonderful weekend and would love to return.

We had the privilege of spending a night at Forum Homini over the weekend, and it was a truly memorable experience from beginning to end. To our great surprise, the team upgraded us to the honeymoon suite on their own initiative, which was incredibly thoughtful and very much appreciated. The room was private, peaceful, and beautifully designed, creating the perfect sense of escape and relaxation. The property itself is breathtaking. It has a unique natural beauty, with a sense of space, quietness, and tranquillity that immediately makes you feel removed from the busyness of everyday life. It is also a wonderful haven for bird watching, and the presence of animals on the property adds something very special to the overall atmosphere. We also had a reservation at Roots Restaurant for the new eight-course meal with wine pairing, and it was an exceptional experience. The food was creative and beautifully presented, and the wine pairing elevated the evening even further. The sommelier was knowledgeable, engaging, and professional, while the service staff were attentive, friendly, and polished without ever making the experience feel stiff or overly formal. Overall, Forum Homini and Roots Restaurant offered us a stay filled with beauty, privacy, tranquillity, excellent food, and outstanding service. It is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression, and we would gladly return.

The Roots Restaurant is pricey there's no 2 ways about it but.. The food is exceptional. An 8 course meal each beautifully prepared. Our sommelier Michael was excellent as was his explanation of the pairing with the food. French food with South African wine as a complement. A wonderful day was had by all. My best Joburg meal in a few years.

So this is my 3rd visit. First back in 2015. The place has not changed much since in terms of restaurant setup and rooms. Although well kept, it is starting to show its age a revamp especially at restaurant level will be welcome. Yes the edition of the Dome is great but that's for a specific experience. Rooms were clean and well kept but we had to deal with lots of flies. Explained by receptionist as a result of recent rains and being in the bush. Service Calvin took care of us and his service was exceptional. Food.. We had a 8 course lunch , absolutely unbelievable, I tried duck for the first time I cannot wait to go back to have it. Every dish was truly exceptional and I will keep on returning for that. I feel like I am underrating the food and experience. It truly was exceptional. I have included the menu and food pics for reference As a evening snack we ordered a chicken mayo pizza...life changing. They should be promoting this more. It truly was amazing
