Persad Center

Persad Center is one of the oldest LGBTQ+ mental-health and human-services organizations in the United States, founded in Pittsburgh in 1972. From its main office on Butler Street in Lawrenceville it provides counseling, substance-use support, and HIV/AIDS services for LGBTQ+ people and their families across the region. For visitors and new arrivals it is a trusted first point of contact for support and community connection.
