After only two seasons my therapist told me she was leaving for private practice. For someone with CPTSD, it's very difficult to talk about their lives and open up to someone. Only for them to leave. Make sure the person you start therapy with is staying at persad!!!

I had a great experience with the initial therapist I saw at Persad for over a year, and they helped me make significant progress. Unfortunately, after they left the agency, my experience changed significantly. I was going through multiple major life changes at the time, and I voluntarily went to Western Psych for extra support. I informed Persad about this, and shortly afterward, I was told I needed to complete an IOP before returning to outpatient therapy. I repeatedly asked for clarification about the policy that was being applied to my situation and received no response. My portal access was removed without warning, and I wasn't informed that I had been discharged until 11 days later. I did not get a response from Persad until the day after I initially posted this review. The biggest issue was the lack of communication and continuity of care during a difficult time. I have a trauma history that this experience reactivated old memories of that I had forgotten. It was an incredibly difficult time that I do not wish on anyone. I'm grateful for the therapist who helped me, but my experience with the agency itself left me feeling unsupported and unable to trust them with my care going forward. Do better. The LGBT community already has enough trauma to deal with without administrative issues trickling down, affecting the quality of care.

I found that I was able to be myself here, which helped a lot in discussing my mental health condition.

I emailed them about hrt, therapy, and their services, and hadn't received an email or call back in months. I ended up going to Central Outreach which took them less than a day to respond. I recommend Central Outreach if you want to be taken seriously. As for the translucent group, it was barely a support group. Pretty much just a hangout for extroverts and their friends to play games for an hour. It's alienating otherwise. Not interested in returning.

My experience at PERSAD was great at first; however, my therapist ghosted me and then discharged me with no prior warning. Leaving me without therapy services AND psychiatric services. I find this highly unprofessional because most clinics give you a warning so you’re able to obtain new providers. I attempted to file a complaint, I was told my information would be passed to the program manager to reach out to me - never heard back. Additionally, I later requested my records and saw that my therapist BUTCHERED my intake. He got most of the information I said incorrect & mixed up, some things of which were SERIOUS incorrect information. And stated that I was dressed “inappropriately” when I was in sweatpants and a sweatshirt. Don’t even get me started on my experience with Dr. Reis, who immediately jumped to a “bipolar” diagnosis solely based off CPTSD symptoms and trauma responses. Would not recommend.
