What reviewers say

Visitors consistently praise The Urban Newtown's excellent location, highlighting its proximity to numerous restaurants, pubs, and public transport, making it convenient for exploring Sydney. Came here for a one night stay, I did a big mistake and put the year on 2027, which was my fault and stupidity but the staff helped out and still given me a room for one night, flew up here for a concert from the USA as I was on holiday on the USA for my music tour so I needed a place to crash for sure after the concert and from my flight. The room was very quiet and absolutely clean with an amazing atmosphere, outside of the rooms was amazing, plenty of great amazing photo opportunities during the night which I recommend taking photos around when you can, would come back again, was a great time at the concert and a very nice relaxing one night, would book more if I could (im broke)

Front desk was unattended when we arrived. Had to wait 15 minutes to check in. Toilet was faulty, cistern did not refill after flushing, I had to refill the cistern with the kettle. My partner used the toilet in the foyer. Told front desk that night, they did nothing. When checking out the next day, I told the front desk, said someone will be in touch. Haven't heard a peep. Sent an email. Haven't heard a peep. Terrible customer service. ********** Response to your reply - Wow. What a gaslight. Your customer service just keeps getting better. I suggest you recheck your CCTV, it will show us waiting at the front desk, calling the number, sitting down in your foyer space till your staff member came back. As for the toilet, why would I got to all this effort to raise my concerns with two of your staff members and write you an email about a functioning toilet??? Instead of looking at your records, go to room 207, try flushing the toilet and see if the cistern refills. ************

I booked a room for my brother and sister-in-law and called to enquire about an early check-in. I first spoke with Ben (I believe that was his name), who said he would need to check, but then abruptly ended the call after saying, “I have answered your question.” I then spoke with Mandy, who identified herself as his manager. Unfortunately, the experience became even more disappointing. There was no apology for the way the previous call had been handled, and the overall tone lacked empathy and professionalism. I would like them to play a recording of my calls, so as to make evident their unprofessionalism and lack of empathy. Had the booking not already been fully prepaid, and with my brother arriving the following day, I would have cancelled immediately. Customer service and basic courtesy matter greatly in hospitality, which made this experience particularly disappointing.

Amazing hotel to explore Sydney

Fantastic location, cool vibe, clean rooms and amenities. Only downsides were the somewhat cramped room and the fact that noise from the central common area came straight in. I was expecting ambient street noise given how busy Enmore is, but was a bit surprised at how much sound came through from within the hotel with people coming and going or even within their own rooms. Anyway, that aside, would happily visit again. The location means you can explore Enmore Rd to your heart's content and it's a short stumble oops I mean walk back to the hotel.
