QT Sydney

Stayed at QT Sydney for 3 nights recently, booked through Qantas. Overall was really happy with the hotel, though would not recommend room including breakfast- just not worth the extra cost for what you get. What we loved: the included welcome drinks - the Pinot noir was great, the funky decor, elevator music and vibe, Staff generally friendly and helpful, duvet! not the flimsy sheet and blanket most hotel have), Dyson hair dryer!, free movies (my daughter found a couple kid friendly ones she really liked), and the Bath tub! So comfy and luxurious to have a few baths over our stay. The not so great: breakfast- got the higher priced room with it included- what a let down. Very small servings, few choices. Considering many great hotel have a buffet breakfast included for similar cost when added into the room I though the hot drink, juice and small breakfast option just was not a good value- I walked out a bit hungry still. My daughter didn't like any of the options available. Also, while the minibar looked great, there weren't any prices listed and QR code link didn't help. We avoided because realised probably huge mark up on the items. Finally there is no privacy into the bathroom- the glass display cabinet separating the room and bathroom doesn't provide privacy. I stayed with my daughter so wasn't a huge deal but might not suit everyone.

A great hotel next to QVB and near Town Hall. A very unique look to the lobby but the rooms were super modern, spacious and luxury type. The staff were excellent, friendly and professional. A bit annoying that only 1 elevator was working out of the 3. Made it extremely difficult when it was packed with lots of people waiting especially on the ground floor where it doubles as a restaurant/cafe/bar. The car park is a bit misleading since there's literally one right next to the hotel which you'd assume it's that, but no, the car park is on the opposite side which is about a 10 min walk away. Overall, a great place to stay.

The best of best hotel I ever stayed. I have traveled quite a bit and stayed all different hotel in different cities. And this is one of top one. Room, service and location were perfect for me. I will definitely stay again if I travel to Sydney again.

We stayed at QT Sydney for two nights for our 5-year wedding anniversary, expecting a luxury escape. Instead, it was one of the most frustrating and profoundly disappointing hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The hotel texted us earlier in the day saying we could collect our key from 3pm. We arrived shortly after 3pm to a line of disgruntled guests and people waiting on lounges. When we finally reached the desk, we were bluntly told our room wasn’t ready. No apology, no explanation, just told to “go for a walk around the CBD” and wait for a phone call. We waited over an hour. The promised call never came. We had to return ourselves, only then to be told the room was ready. Again, no apology and no acknowledgment of the inconvenience. When we entered the room (King Executive), the exterior windows were cracked and covered in bird droppings and the interior decor seemed dusty and old. Not exactly the premium romantic setting QT sells online. The shower was also broken, spraying water from both shower heads and soaking the entire bathroom every time it was used. We went to Gowings Bar where it took around 25 minutes to receive a $34 whiskey which was primarily ice. This was around 9pm and it was extremely quiet. Day two was just as incompetent. Housekeeping had still not serviced the room by 4pm (and no the do not disturb sign was NEVER placed on our room during our stay). After calling reception, we were forced to leave again while trying to get ready for dinner so they could clean it. For a two-night anniversary stay, QT somehow managed to ruin both nights. I ended up asking the housekeeper to stop cleaning half way through so we didn’t miss our dinner reservation. When I contacted management about our issues regarding check in, they summarised it as a “delivery” and “communication” issue. It seems very clear that these were not isolated incidents and instead a reflection of poor management. No urgency, no ownership, no service recovery, no care. Reading other reviews afterwards, it’s clear that delayed rooms and poor communication are synonymous with a stay at the QT. Cheers QT Sydney. Never again.

Okay, have not done this before, but after having a terrible experience, QT GM Ash gave me a call and apology. Very much appreciated, all that was needed. So changing my ratings to reflect a positive outcome in the end.

We just wanted to say how much we absolutely loved everything about QT Sydney. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredible — so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly across every touchpoint, from the lobby to reception, the bar, and breakfast. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, the food was consistently delicious, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel made our stay feel really special. It’s such a unique and memorable experience, and we truly can’t recommend it highly enough.

We love the QT! QT always go above and beyond for every stay we have had. Cannot wait for our next excuse to stay at QT! 🫶🏼
