What reviewers say

Some visitors found the hotel to be a good option near the railway station and offering better rooms than others at a reasonable rate. However, multiple guests complained about extremely poor cleanliness, rude receptionists, and malfunctioning amenities like ACs and geysers.

About this place HOTEL GMT CENTRE

Hotel GMT Centre is a budget city hotel on Evening Bazaar Road in Park Town, the busy wholesale and market district next to Chennai Central railway station. It is a mainstream hotel listed as gay-friendly, not a gay venue, and it is mainly used by rail travellers and people doing business in the bazaars. The location is practical rather than pretty: Chennai Central and Park station are a few minutes away, and the streets around Rattan Bazaar are crowded and noisy for most of the day. Google reviews are mixed (3.4 from over 1,100 ratings), so look at a recent room photo before booking. Chennai has no gay bar scene to speak of, so plan on private events and apps rather than venues.
