Nagpur Pride (Orange City Pride March & Pride Carnival)
About This Event
Nagpur Pride began as the Orange City LGBT Pride March, organised by Sarathi Trust. The first march on 5 March 2016 drew about 400 people and set off from Samvidhan Square through Zero Mile and Variety Square. Later editions were usually held on a Saturday in January or February: 13 January 2018, 16 February 2019 (the first after the Section 377 ruling), 18 January 2020, then 7 January 2023 and 6 January 2024, the last co-organised with the Keshav Suri Foundation. We found no march in 2025. Pride Month now has a second fixture: the Pride Carnival at VR Nagpur mall, whose third edition on 27 June 2026, run with Sarathi Trust and Humsafar Trust, included a parade, performances and a community fashion show, with 300+ LGBTQIA+ participants. No 2027 date had been announced when we checked in October 2026.
