Fringe World Festival, Perth's yearly arts festival, runs through January and February. It's one of the world's biggest fringe festivals by attendance, spread across venues in the city and Northbridge.
The LGBTQ+ programming is serious: queer cabaret, drag, theatre, comedy, circus, and performance art. It covers pretty much every corner of contemporary queer art. Northbridge's clubs and bars turn into Fringe hubs. You'll find queer shows scattered all over the area, which means it's easy to build into a night out in Perth's gay neighborhood.
Fringe World's queer lineup has gotten bigger lately. The festival's noticed Perth's deep LGBTQ+ arts scene, and that audiences here want queer performance that's challenging, creative, and fun.
