Be'er Sheva Pride March
About This Event
Be'er Sheva Pride is the Negev's Pride march, organised by the Pride House Be'er Sheva & the South with the municipality's backing. It has a contested history. In 2016 the High Court upheld a police order moving the route off Rager Boulevard, and organisers called the march off and protested outside City Hall instead. The first official march followed on 22 June 2017, with about 4,000 people, and Mayor Ruvik Danilovich has spoken at it since.
Marches went ahead in 2018, 2019 and 2021 to 2023. The 2020 march was cancelled for COVID, and in 2024 the war replaced it with a rally on the Mishkan plaza. The 2025 march, on 14 August in the Old City, came after Pride flags in the city were torn down and burned. On 18 June 2026 thousands gathered at the HaKatar complex and walked to the Tamuz lawns in the Old City, with a free party, DJs and local drag queens including Celine La Divine.
Expect a weekday late afternoon in June, a short route and a community crowd, not a Tel Aviv-style street party. The 2027 date hadn't been announced when we checked.
