Haifa Pride Parade

Haifa Pride winds through Israel's northern port city, a place where Jewish, Arab, and Druze communities usually get along. That gives the event a particular flavor. Haifa's queer community is part of the city's progressive, multicultural identity, and the parade shows it. The hillside city's dramatic slopes, with the Bahá'í gardens spilling down to the sea, make for one of the better backdrops of any pride event in the region.
