Local law: Prosecutions ongoing under Article 534 despite repeated court rulings since 2007 that it should not apply to consensual same-sex relations; Article 521 poses a separate risk for trans women and drag. Dating apps have been used as evidence. Exercise significant discretion.

Avoid public displays of affection of any kind.
Stay at international-chain hotels (Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt) — they rarely interrogate guest arrangements.
Register with your embassy on arrival — consular help may be limited.
