An unexpectedly perfect stay on Bikendrik Island, Majuro Atool, in the heart of the Pacific. An incredibly well-maintained little island with a fantastic house reef, comfortable bungalows, gourmet food, and last but not least, the hostess, Susanne Kayser, a living legend from the Hollywood blockbuster. Highly recommended to spend at least one night here if you're in the area. The best you can have in the Central Pacific.

I went to visit Susanne for lunch and it was exceptional, she is an amazing chef and the wine pairing was delightful. You can wade across the water from Eneko island so well worth it if you’re visiting even for the day. Susanne is a super interesting lady and her hotel is like a beautiful oasis, thanks for having me!

An island that I loved from the very first moment. The journey to get here is long but worth every moment. Everything is so well cared for and welcoming, and the view and the sea are a dream. At a very difficult time in my life, I was welcomed with love and warmth from the very first moment by Susanne, who is the perfect host. Her cooking is sublime, and it's incredible what she manages to cook in such a remote corner of the world where many ingredients are difficult to find and come from far away. Always discreet and welcoming, she managed to give me a peaceful and beautiful Christmas. The stories of her incredible life, every evening after dinner, were the moments I loved most and miss the most. Her sweet company was a blessing. Thank you, Susanne, thank you so much. I hope to come back to your beautiful island one day. With love. Michela
