Queering the Archives with Gus Fisher

Saturday, 08 August 2026 · 13:30 – 16:00 The Charlotte Museum, Auckland, New Zealand

About the event

Gus Fisher Gallery and The Charlotte Museum are proud to present a special event exploring the queer archives of Aotearoa. Through a conversation between organisations, we will discuss how traditional archiving conventions are expanded through a sapphic / queer lens, considering thematic parallels with the exhibition Studies for a Keepsake: Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore. Taking place at The Charlotte Museum, a selection of rare ephemera and archive materials relating to the Homosexual Law Reform campaign will be on display for this occasion.
