This is my go to hotel when I visit Phillipines, I was here in 2023 and again in 2026. The Staff are very helpful, the location especially that it is connected to the Robinson shopping Mall is great. The food is wonderful. The rooms are spacious and clean. Padayon sa maayong buhat.👍
the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was good with plenty of options. We only stayed for one night, so we didn’t get the chance to try the pool, but everything else met our expectations. Overall, it was a pleasant stay!
I stayed at Summit Galleria Cebu for one month while attending an English language program. Overall, I believe this is a good hotel, especially by Philippine standards. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. During my entire stay, I never encountered any cockroaches or insects, which was very reassuring. The housekeeping staff were always friendly, helpful, and greeted guests with warm smiles. I had breakfast every morning at Summit Café. The staff worked hard, even at 6:30 a.m., and their effort was appreciated. As with any hotel, the food quality varied from day to day. Some days the meals were excellent, while on other days they were less impressive. However, overall, the dining experience was satisfactory. The biggest weakness of this hotel is service follow-up and maintenance response. During my stay, I experienced several issues, including a malfunctioning television, curtains that would not open, an empty water dispenser, broken lighting, and periods without hot water. What frustrated me most was not the problems themselves, but the response process. The greatest source of stress was that front desk staff often failed to follow through on promises to call back promptly or resolve issues quickly. Whether I spoke with them in person or over the phone, the result was usually the same. Maintenance issues were often carried over to the next day, and promised callbacks or updates almost never came. Even when staff said the issue had been reported, I usually had to follow up multiple times before any action was taken. I understand that service standards in the Philippines may differ from those in Japan, and I do not expect Japanese-level service. However, the lack of communication and the need for repeated follow-ups created unnecessary stress during my stay. One lesson I learned is that guests need to communicate their concerns clearly and persistently, even if they are not confident in their English skills. Despite these shortcomings, the hotel is clean, safe, and comfortable, and I would still consider it a good option for students and long-term guests. If management can improve communication and maintenance follow-up, the guest experience would be significantly better.
