The Tides Hotel Boracay

The staff are 100% helpful and assist you with everything. The rooms are lacking in many areas. Breakfast isn't a buffet. It's an adequate hotel, but Google lists it as 5 stars, which I would rate more like 3. It's good value for money.

I just used their pool & massage parlor. The food is excellent .👌 And the service is good, too! 👍

Tides Hotel is conveniently located in the middle of D’Mall, making it very easy to access shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and efficient, which I appreciated the most. The free breakfast was plated and simple, though I expected a buffet as seen in older vlogs, and it lacked variety. One downside is the absence of an elevator, which may be challenging for some guests. The main area for improvement is the airport-port-hotel transfers. Despite the cost, the service was pooled with guests from multiple hotels, making it less seamless and personalized than expected. In previous stays, I experienced exclusive transfers at a similar price point. Overall, a comfortable stay, but improving some services or adjusting rates would enhance value. 3/5 stars.

The location is great, the clothes are okay, the room is so-so, and the water isn't hot enough. At over 3,000 pesos a night, it's certainly worth the price, but it's definitely not a five-star hotel; at best, it's a three-star. A five-star hotel should at least be like Hannan Crystal or Mandarin Bay. Google Maps misleads people into thinking that you can enjoy five-star service for 3,000 pesos a night, which is unrealistic.

After reading reviews of this hotel on various platforms, we took a chance and checked in. I wish we hadn't. Terrible hotel. Positives: - Polite staff. But I doubt I can call this a plus, as this is how guests are treated in the Philippines, especially in Boracay, at all hotels. - Location: 5 minutes from the beach, but you have to walk through a shopping street. Beach towels are provided per person once a day. I took them in the morning and returned them in the evening. Very convenient. - There are plenty of cafes and shops nearby, offering food for every taste. - The pool is clean. It's on the 4th floor, so you can even see a bit of the sea. They provide towels. - The shuttle service is well organized. Negatives: - If you're here for a vacation and go to bed at 10-11 a.m. so you can sunbathe early in the morning, I don't recommend this hotel. The music from the bars is very loud. We slept with earplugs. - Roosters have been crowing since 4:00 AM. - Bed linens: dirty, with some stains, most likely from henna, but it's not like a guest would sleep on dirty linens. They're already torn in places (photo). - The towels also need to be changed, at least partially, as they're completely outdated. They should be white, but they're already gray (photo). - The rooms need repairs, at least cosmetic ones. The walls are dirty, and there are stains on the ceiling from a previous flood by the neighbors (photo). - The curtains haven't been washed in a long time, and they're extremely dirty (photo). - The air conditioner blade is broken, so it was impossible to direct the wind. It just blew downwards (photo). - The water pressure in the sink was constantly fluctuating. You can't wash your hands without splashing, and your clothes will be damp. - There were two electrical problems on the first night. The UPS automatically activated, and the emergency lighting in the rooms immediately turned on. We woke up instantly because the light was directed toward the bed. The first time was around 5:00 AM, the second time at 6:30 AM (photo of the room lighting). - The shower stall is leaking. After each shower, there's a huge puddle (photo). - There are only two breakfast options: American or Filipino. Other breakfast options are also available, but they're an additional charge, even though breakfast is included. - We sent our clothes to the hotel laundry. The result: they didn't follow the instructions on the clothing tags. Four T-shirts were one size too small. They don't even look at the tags; they just throw the items in the wash and then dry them on high heat. Solution: 50% off the laundry and an apology. They never commented on the price of the T-shirt (over 3,500 pesos). But we didn't pay for the laundry either. - There's no hairdryer, even though it's listed in the amenities. - We stayed for 6 nights and didn't have the bed linens changed even once. They usually change them every 3-4 days, but not at this hotel. - There's no elevator. While you can walk up to the 2nd and 3rd floors, it's a real hassle to climb up with your suitcases when checking in and out, even though the staff can help you carry them up to your room. - There are 8 lounge chairs in the pool area, but only 4 have mats; the other four are just wooden. Even with a towel, it's uncomfortable to lie down and relax.

It's my first time staying here at Tides Hotel. One of my favorite things is their breakfast; they serve it fresh and warm. My daughter can't stop talking about their breakfast! I hope their beds will be comfier next time if we book here again. The location is perfect just in station2 near the beach and dmall their staff are nice too😊
