Metro Manila Pride

Metro Manila Pride is the long-running Pride march of the Philippine capital; the Daily Tribune dates the series to 1996. It grew slowly for years, from about 1,000 people at Remedios Circle in 2013 to 25,000 in Marikina in 2018 and some 70,000 in Marikina in 2019, then the biggest Pride in Southeast Asia. After that it moved around: a small gathering in 2021, the CCP grounds in Pasay in 2022, the Circuit grounds in Makati in 2023. It then went on a two-year hiatus in 2024 and 2025, and we couldn't find a public explanation for the gap.

Don't confuse it with the Pride PH festival at Quezon City Memorial Circle and UP Diliman, run by a different coalition. That one is now the much bigger event: the QC government counted more than 320,000 on 27 June 2026.

Metro Manila Pride returned on Saturday 27 June 2026 to its original home, Remedios Circle in Malate, with the theme "Bukas, Atin" (Tomorrow is ours). It started at 10:00, was free, and the city closed and rerouted surrounding roads. We found no crowd count for the 2026 march. Late June is rainy season in Manila, so bring an umbrella. The 2027 date hadn't been announced when we checked.
