Gay Saunas in Daegu

Daegu doesn't have a dedicated gay-only bathhouse like Seoul's He's or Mun Hwa. As in most Korean cities outside the capital, the local scene instead centers on a couple of mainstream 24-hour public saunas that are well known within the gay community as gay-frequented cruising venues. Discretion and standard Korean bathhouse etiquette apply.

Taepyeong Sauna (태평사우나)

Taepyeong Sauna is a long-standing 24-hour public bathhouse near Daegu Station in central Jung-gu, and the venue most often identified within Daegu's gay community as the city's main gay-frequented sauna. It's a mainstream men's bathhouse rather than an exclusively gay space, but it's been cited repeatedly in Korean gay forums as the go-to cruising sauna in Daegu. Open around the clock; expect a low-key local crowd.

Greenville Sauna (그린빌사우나)

Greenville Sauna, in the Namsan-dong area of central Jung-gu near Seomun Market, is a neighborhood public bathhouse that also comes up in local gay community discussions as a spot frequented by gay men. Community references to it are more low-key than for Taepyeong, but it's a second option in the central district.

Both are conventional Korean saunas, so there are no explicitly gay facilities — the scene here is about who frequents them rather than the venue itself. If you're after a fuller dedicated gay-sauna scene, Seoul is the nearest city with several.
