City Beds Colombo

I stayed in a dormitory and the owner was super friendly haha. Since it's right by the street, it's very noisy, but overall it is clean and well-maintained, and I was satisfied with my stay because I could protect my privacy with the curtains.

Had a pleasant stay at City Beds Colombo. The rooms were clean and AC + fan worked a treat in the Sri Lankan heat. Only thing is no mini fridge. Also people smoking in rooms which makes passageway smell awful. I’d love for them to enforce their no smoking policy more. Difficult for a car to access the front as it’s situated near a busy intersection where cars cannot wait for a long time. You can hear noises of trains. Good for a night or two’s stay.

Clean Comfortable rooms a good location from The city. And 10 Mins form the Port and beach

The hotel is just half kilometer (10-15 minutes) from Colombo Fort railway station. It has modern rooms and facilities and the dorms are separated each of them with curtain. The staff is very nice and helpful, they recommended me a good place to eat nearby. Book online through Agoda as you get at least 10$ cheaper. I extended my stay with another night directly through the hotel and they said they have to charge me 35$ instead of 25$ how much I paid for the room through Agoda. Also, they say they have frontdesk 24h but you cannot check-in after 11 pm. What if your flight has a delay or something?

I stayed in a mixed-gender room. The bathrooms were well-appointed, but the cubicle where I slept had peeling paint and was dirty. Furthermore, the staff was quite rude and seemed annoyed. If you don't like this type of environment, I recommend changing your hotel or career.

Citibeds is conveniently located near the railway station and the port city, making it easy to access.On the positive side, the room (located on the 3rd floor) was spacious and clean. Fan, air conditioner, and hot water was available. The only provided toiletries were soap and towels, and there was no extra toilet paper. While an electric kettle and microwave were available near the reception, there was no tea or coffee offered at the time. Additionally, food options were not easily accessible nearby. The staircase and parking area are not so clean but the room was comfortable given the price and location.

Check-in time is at 2:00 PM. If you arrive even a little earlier, you are not allowed to wait at the reception and must wait on the street instead. Parking is also not allowed before 2:00 PM, so you have to park on the road. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place.

Good place to stay for one or two nights. Owners were accommodating for the most part and our room was changed right away when we were uncomfortable with bugs in the first one.

I stayed here for a short stay! I checked in at night and stayed overnight to move in the morning. I was worried because of the negative reviews about noise, but the location is right next to a major road, so I could hear quite a bit of noise. However, the room and other conditions were excellent value for money. Thankfully, there was a shared water purifier. The staff was very friendly. The only noise was the sound of doors opening and closing, early morning traffic, and birds chirping. It wasn't a major issue. The noise level may vary depending on the room location. I think the door opening and closing noise was caused by late arrivals. The train station and bus terminal are a 15-20 minute walk away, so the location is great. Please inquire in advance about Wi-Fi and hot water usage!!
