Paradise Road Tintagel Colombo

I just called to see if there’s a way to do my registration (as shown already in pictures of ig). Seems like a lotta people have done it. When I inquired for my marriage registration, these people are giving such a big attitude saying that there are only some kinds of people who can take engagements and we don’t recommend this to everyone. It may be a bit expensive as we only share this sort of treatment with specific people. Who are they to judge their own customers or decide whether or not customers could afford? Their duty is to speak to everyone from the same level of respect. If they can’t do it, what sorta people are they. They only work for tintagel and should be happy that their assess will get some sort of commission . I’m writing this review to let you know that I’m sick of their attitude and what sorta customer service. was that? Also, this makes us feel as if how many BETTER PLACES ARE THERE THAN TINTAGEL

We had a lovely afternoon with family here, and had a delicious spread for high tea. The tuna and cucumber cheese sandwich along with the homemade ginger beer really made a good impression. I absolutely loved the carrot cake! They served a good cup of tea too. Thanks for the warm welcome and tour of the property.

Highly recommended for an intimate celebration or just catching up with friends. Their pumpkin soup and baked crab are out of this world. Perfectly seasons and never disappoints.

Me and my husband went for a dinner to celebrate our anniversary and it was the worst experience ever. I had to ask for water twice . The water tasted like tap water. The food wasn’t up to a 5 star restaurant experience. The noodles that I ordered was way too greasy. The Crémbrulé was not cold enough. The mocktail had a weird taste like as if the watermelon was rotten. It’s our second time there to celebrate our anniversary. And there’s a huge difference of service, ambiance and the food from the first visit 6 years ago. The worst was there was a terrible toilet smell. Even though I informed at the time of the reservation that it was our anniversary they really didn’t even do anything to make it special . At least a wish like at any other 5 star hotel like Cinnamon or Hilton. Definitely won’t return neither will recommend. Last not but least the place looked old and run down. The table cloth looked old. Not a good experience at all

We've just completed our second stay at this lovely house hotel in the heart of Colombo's Cinnamon Gardens district. Tintagel remains unchanged: charmingly luxurious, confidently efficient, and beautifully styled. It's a treat to stay in such a historic building and to imagine what it was like when it was home to Sri Lanka's "first family". We were once more ably looked after by the resourceful and tireless professionalism of Saman, who ensured our room was always in pristine condition and that we had everything we needed to fully enjoy our time in Colombo. The food at Tintagel is excellent (my wife said her cashew nut curry was the best she had in Sri Lanka), and the gin and tonics in the sumptuous red bar are top-notch, too! We enjoyed chilling out by the hotel's serene open-air pool after a busy morning exploring the capital, and we felt properly relaxed when we finally left Tintagel's care for our 1-hour journey to the airport.

Superb hotel. The suites are beautifully furnished and decorated. The staff is very welcoming and attentive, especially Saman! The cuisine is delicate and delicious. We loved our short stay at the Tintagel.
