About this place Shake

Shake is a gay bar and club. You'll find it on the second floor of the Shalina Hotel, in Bangkok’s Ramkhamhang neighborhood.

This is a host bar, which means it’s set up for conversation. You’ll meet locals and other travelers, and the staff will keep you company. Most nights, there are live shows and karaoke—it's a good place to connect with people.

Bangkok's gay nightlife has everything from quiet lounges to full-on clubs. Host bars like Shake are a big part of the scene here; they're more interactive than your average watering hole. The team is friendly, though not everyone speaks English, so a few Thai phrases or a translation app will help.

If you're after a fun night with live entertainment, karaoke, or just a social LGBTQ+ spot, Shake does the trick. Its location in the Shalina Hotel makes it easy to find, and being on the second floor keeps it a bit removed from the street chaos.

This visit the Shakes were ok (before was better) But the texture was perfect for a milkshake, thick and no ice blend in. I was mislead for their hard serve ice cream which was mentioned as soft serve. Nice staff. Clean place.

Easy, fast, nicely wrapped. Might be one of the better ones in this part of the world.

The milkshake was a small cup, and I thought the Thai version was really sweet. But the burger bun was delicious, very fluffy and soft! The burger overall wasn't as salty as the ones in Japanese restaurants.
