Amethyst Hotel Pattaya

This is a very clean 4-star hotel because it's new. However, the room rates are on the higher side. I stayed in a suite this time. It had a balcony, but the room faced east towards Soi Buakhao.

Spent 4 nights here. The hotel is immaculate throughout and very well styled. Yes there was construction noise, and yes in the evening noise could be heard from the balcony from a couple of nearby smaller bars, I cannot criticise Amethyst for this. I did not try breakfast as I tend to need a greasy English fry up to recover from the previous nights antics, but the selection looked good. I had a couple of lunchtime options bought up to the rooftop bar area which were nice. Rooftop bar and pool area is great. Exclusively for official guests only. There were never too many guests there, and there was always plenty of normal seating, however only just enough loungers. Pool towels borrowable for free. The views from both rooftop and room balcony are lacklustre, though given the location I took this as a given beforehand anyway. Stayed 201, a Grand Executive Room. Very well designed, very spacious. Had all of the amenities I expected and more. All of the receptionists, doorman/porters, bar staff and maids were brilliant. Very friendly and eager to please. I will certainly consider returning.

Nice, modern, clean, quiet and comfortable. What more could you ask for. The entire staff was outstanding. We will be back!

Bad service, disgraceful treatment of guests, don't go near them!!!!!!!

I was puzzled to see earplugs in every room, but the soundproofing is so poor that it was difficult to sleep until 4 AM due to the music coming from the bar outside. The price has increased significantly. The front desk staff were unfriendly.

Wandered out of the Marriot brand to try this hotel. Was very pleased with the service, atmosphere, rooms and breakfast. Little hard to access street wise. But had good parking garage.

Exceptional, great service

There is construction nearby. Could be noisy.

Spent 6 nights here. Price was great. Staff amazing. Location perfect. On Baht bus route. Close to everything. Will stay here again.
