Queer Lisboa es el principal festival internacional de cine queer de Portugal, dedicado a exhibir películas que exploran sexualidades e identidades gay, lésbica, bisexual, transgénero, transexual, intersexual y otras no normativas. Fundado en 1997, es el festival de cine con más trayectoria en Lisboa y ha obtenido reconocimiento internacional por su programa curado y sus diversas actividades.
Los asistentes pueden esperar un rico programa de proyecciones de películas competitivas y no competitivas, que abarcan largometrajes, documentales y cortometrajes. Más allá de las ofertas cinematográficas, el festival organiza una variedad de eventos paralelos, que incluyen talleres, clases magistrales, debates, conferencias y exposiciones de arte. El festival tiene como objetivo fomentar el pensamiento teórico en torno a temas queer y promover el cine queer portugués.
El evento transforma Lisboa en un vibrante centro cultural, atrayendo a cineastas, artistas y público de todo el mundo. Las proyecciones y los eventos tienen lugar en diversos recintos de la ciudad, ofreciendo una mezcla única de exploración cinematográfica e inmersión cultural. El festival también incluye un Premio del Público a la Mejor Película en sus secciones competitivas.
