Queer Lisboa è il principale festival cinematografico internazionale queer del Portogallo, dedicato alla proiezione di film che esplorano sessualità e identità gay, lesbiche, bisessuali, transgender, transessuali, intersex e altre non conformi. Istituito nel 1997, è il festival cinematografico più longevo di Lisbona e ha ottenuto riconoscimenti internazionali per il suo programma curato e le sue diverse attività.
I partecipanti possono aspettarsi un ricco programma di proiezioni cinematografiche competitive e non competitive, che comprendono lungometraggi, documentari e cortometraggi. Oltre alle proposte cinematografiche, il festival ospita una varietà di eventi paralleli, tra cui workshop, masterclass, dibattiti, conferenze e mostre d'arte. Il festival mira a promuovere il pensiero teorico sui temi queer e a valorizzare il cinema queer portoghese.
L'evento trasforma Lisbona in un vivace centro culturale, attirando registi, artisti e pubblico da tutto il mondo. Le proiezioni e gli eventi si svolgono in diverse sedi della città, offrendo un mix unico di esplorazione cinematografica e immersione culturale. Il festival include anche un Premio del Pubblico per il Miglior Film nelle sue sezioni competitive.
