Tuntenball Graz
About This Event
The Tuntenball (roughly "Queens' Ball") is Graz's big queer charity ball. It's the main fundraiser for the RosaLila PantherInnen, the Styrian queer rights group founded in 1991. The first ball, in 1990, had 140 guests in the university canteen. Today it fills the Congress Graz every February and sells out. The organisers call it Europe's largest charity ball. The money funds the PantherInnen's counselling, community centre and human rights work.
Each year has a motto, and guests dress for it. Drag and full costume are normal, and the organisers publish a style guide. Tickets go on sale through tuntenball.at in November.
The 35th ball was held on 21 February 2026 under the motto "Grand Bordell", with the slogan "Please do disturb". It was sold out, and reports counted more than 2,000 guests. The next ball is on Saturday 20 February 2027 at the Congress Graz, starting at 18:30.
