On Friday, 23 October 2026, Rodeho’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Pub Quiz returns to Villa Vida Café for a night dedicated to the gloriously bloody, campy and unforgettable horror films of the 1980s.
From slashers and supernatural nightmares to cult classics, monsters and final girls, it is time to put your horror knowledge to the test.
Hosted by drag artist Rodeho, this donation-based 80s horror movies pub quiz in Vienna combines trivia, drag, queer community and plenty of opportunities to discover just how much questionable horror knowledge has been taking up space in your brain.

The 1980s gave horror fans some of the genre’s most recognisable films, characters and cinematic nightmares.
Therefore, this edition of Rodeho’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Pub Quiz is diving straight into the decade of big hair, practical effects, excessive blood and villains who simply refused to stay dead.
Expect questions inspired by the weird, wonderful and occasionally ridiculous world of 1980s horror cinema.
Whether you are a dedicated horror fan or simply someone who has watched far too many scary movies, you are welcome to join in.
What to Expect
Rodeho will guide you through an evening of horror-themed trivia with plenty of personality along the way.
The quiz will explore the world of 80s horror movies, from famous favourites to cult curiosities. However, you do not need to be a walking horror encyclopedia to take part.
Instead, bring your knowledge, your best guesses and your willingness to embrace the chaos.
Most importantly, the event is about having fun together. So, while competitive spirits are welcome, knowing absolutely everything is definitely not required.
Come Alone or Bring Your Horror Crew
You are welcome to come with friends and form a team. Alternatively, you can come alone and join the evening independently.
Moreover, Villa Vida Café is a queer community space, and people of all genders and sexualities are welcome at the event.
You do not need to identify as LGBTQIA+ to attend. However, we ask everyone who joins us to respect the queer community, the venue and one another.
So, gather your fellow horror nerds, revisit your favourite 80s nightmares and prepare for an evening where obscure movie knowledge might finally prove useful.

Rodeho’s Rootin’ Tootin’ 80s Horror Movies Pub Quiz is donation-based.
Therefore, there is no fixed ticket price. If you are able to contribute, your donation helps support queer cultural programming and community events at Villa Vida Café.
At the same time, we want the event to remain accessible to people with different financial circumstances.
