Good if you just need the cheapest place to crash for a night in Brussels—the beds and bathrooms are decent. However, there are major red flags. First, security is poor; dorm doors don't lock or even close properly, so anyone can walk in. Second, their system is completely outdated—all check-ins and check-outs are done manually on paper, which is painfully slow. Most importantly, check your bill. I work as a hostel receptionist in paris and caught them charging me the city tax twice, even though Hostelworld already included it. The staff and owner didn't understand their own system, and I saw that other guests were being double-charged too. I got my refund, but watch your receipt closely!

Dirty toilets and showers, and the bathroom was so small that I had to take the trash bin out while using the toilet so my feet could fit inside. Also, the door handle in my room was broken, so it wouldn’t stay closed. (There were no lockers) They lock the main entrance after 1:00 a.m., so if you are unlucky and there is no one at reception for a while (which happened to me), you can end up stuck outside . Some of the showers don’t have hot water. The beds are extremely noisy ,one small movement and everyone wakes up. Last but not least, I also witnessed a small fight at the reception between members of the staff.

Although they didn't speak Portuguese, they were attentive to me and made an effort to understand me.

My stay at Your Hostel Midi Station was very disappointing. The photos and online description are completely inaccurate. The common areas and snack bar are dirty and very small. There's an unpleasant odor right from the entrance and throughout the rooms. These conditions are unacceptable for guests. Furthermore, the establishment refuses any refund despite these significant discrepancies between the advertised and actual experience. The reception staff is unprofessional, and when there's a problem, everyone passes the buck between Booking.com and the owner, without offering any solutions. This situation is unacceptable and does not reflect the advertised service.
