Today I decided to treat my son and invite him to eat a seafood platter at your restaurant. We had to wait over 40 minutes to be served. What shock and disgust when the platter finally arrived! The frozen products were heated, cooled, and served. They tasted like rubber, were inedible, and disgusting. When you have fresh products, you get a good meal. Here, the oysters, lobster, and everything else were stuck to the shells. I paid €68 with Socialdeal only to have to throw away practically everything. Bad products and the cleanliness of the establishment leaves much to be desired. I won't be going back, and I'm telling you, "Go somewhere where everything is fresh." You can't play around with quality and freshness. A true connoisseur can tell the difference. I've just cancelled my Socialdeal. You only run promotions with low-class restaurants and tourist traps anymore.
Avoid this restaurant at all costs. The food was simply awful. I ordered a seafood platter. Everything was rubbery. In my opinion, that's proof that nothing was fresh. It had clearly come straight from the freezer. If only that were all. The food didn't taste good at all. Furthermore, the cleanliness could be much better. As for the service… We weren't even given the proper cutlery for this type of food. The quality is incredibly poor for such a high price. We went to eat a small portion of fries afterwards in the main square to try and get rid of the bad taste, even though we had just paid a fortune 😭😂. A tourist trap, for sure.
Unfortunately we found 4.5 is overrated for this restaurant. The mussels and seafood pasta were just ok, not amazing. Positive side is the portion of mussels were generous. The fries were hard and not fresh. The worst is the payment process: the staff were asking for tip. Without understanding the request clearly, we were charged 5 euro more for the tip. We're happy to tip for great service, but this behavior was extremely uncomfortable.
Our group of 5 ordered two bowls of mussels: one traditional and one garlic butter mussels. Overall, the mussels weren't huge, but they were fresh and plentiful. If you visit Belgium in the summer, you should definitely try them.
the best moules ever
One of those "must see, must be" list. Perfect mules in a all kind of different sauces. Portions are just big but I still know some people who ate whole of them. It's a perfect stop among Brussels walk through. It's good to book a table.
