Ghent Pride 2027
About This Event
Ghent's annual Pride celebration takes over one of Belgium's most progressive, architecturally striking cities. The parade itself winds through the medieval center: past Gravensteen castle, along the Graslei and Korenlei waterfronts, through the university quarter. It's a visually spectacular event, matching the city's beauty with its LGBTQ+-affirming politics.
Pride draws a crowd that feels very Ghent: lots of students, the local LGBTQ+ community, and visitors from Brussels, Antwerp, and the Netherlands. The weekend includes events at gay bars across town, some cultural programming, and the outdoor Pride Village.
This happens in a country that legalized same-sex marriage in 2003, the second in the world to do so.
Book your accommodation early. Ghent fills up for Pride weekend, and the city's popular with cultural tourists year-round.

Practical Tips
Ghent Pride site is under maintenance heading into 2027, so their Facebook and Instagram will be the first place the parade route and stage times drop.
